Weโre on a mission to normalise Weirdness
For too long, neurotypical society has shamed us into hiding our quirks and individuality.ย
We wear our masks and dim our lights to fit in.
We follow the conventional wisdom and neurotypical rules of the Rat Raceโand what have we become?ย
๐ Unfulfilled!
๐ Overwhelmed!
๐ Stuck
๐ Disconnected
๐ Burnt Out!ย
The Pressure To Conform
We are told to play it safe, donโt rock the boat, and stay in our lanes.ย
We are shamed into hiding the parts of our true selves to be respectable members of mainstream society.ย
But we donโt fit in, do we?
We know we were weird โ and we feel shameful.
The Trap of People Pleasing
Many of us channel our shame into people pleasing โ which inevitably leads to both external and internal resentment.ย
We all want to be truly liked by everyone. We all want to be loved truly by someone
But the tragic reality is we canโt truly connect with anyone when we hide our weirdness from the world.ย
Breaking Free from Traditional Paths
Society tells us the only way to succeed is to follow the traditional path, leading many of us into soul-sucking jobs we hate.ย
And itโs bullshit.
We donโt have to live a life on anyone elseโs terms:
Embracing Our Weirdness
So this is what I have learned:
โ Our weirdness is our purpose
โ Our weirdness is our creative individuality
โ Our weirdness is our authenticity
โ Our weirdness is how we stand the fuck out in saturated markets
โ Our weirdness is our gift
The Multipotentiality Impact
The weirdness of multipotentialites has shaped the fabric of culture, the arts, science, philosophy, business and innovation for thousands of years.
Itโs the weird-ass multipotentialites who solve nearly all the BIG problems.
And create the art that soothes our souls.ย
Here are just a few examples:
๐ฝ David Bowieย โ Weird!
๐ฝ Florence Nightingaleย โ Weird!
๐ฝ Albert Einsteinย โ Weird!
๐ฝ Nelson Mandelaย โ Weird!
๐ฝ Steve Jobs โ Weird!
๐ฝ Maya Angelouย โ Weird!
๐ฝ Marcus Aureliusย โ Weird!
๐ฝ Donald Glover a.k.a. Childish Gambinoย โ Weird!
๐ฝ Nikola Teslaย โ Weird!
๐ฝ Dr. Fei-Fei Li โ Weird!
๐ฝ Frida Kahloย โ Weird!
๐ฝ Chien-Shiung Wuย โ Weird!
๐ฝ Neil deGrasse Tysonย โ Weird!
๐ฝ Alan Watts โ Weird!
๐ฝ Banksyย โ Weird!
๐ฝ Marie Curieย โ Weird!
๐ฝ Charles Darwinย โ Weird!
๐ฝ Friedrich Nietzscheย โ Weird!
All of these multipotentialites embraced their weirdness, otherwise, we would never have heard of them.
The Goal Of Authenticity
Weโre all fucking weird!
Most of us will not be famous, thatโs not the goal.ย
The goal is to stop overthinking and being stuck in decision paralysis.
The goal is to make core values-based decisions and take more action.
The goal is to fulfil our potential and live more authentically with purpose and meaning.ย
I didnโt fully embrace and share my weirdness until I was 49.ย
My regret is not doing it decades earlier.
As a recovering multi-platinum artist manager I was the archetypal shadow artist!
Michael has a different yet similar story and heโs younger than me.ย
The Multipotentialite Reality
We canโt live an authentic life and fulfil our potential by conforming to the rules of the rat race and hiding our weirdness behind masks.
Itโs time to stop conforming and be more weird.ย
Itโs time to stop playing by the outdated rules of a society that does not understand us.ย
Itโs time to radically accept our multipotentiality. Itโs time to normalise our weirdness.ย
You Are Not Alone
Itโs estimated that circa 15-20% of the global population is neurodivergent.ย
Thereโs over a billion of us.ย
You are not alone.
The research shows that making authentic decisions ( embracing our weirdness) motivated users to take much more action without second-guessing their decisions.
But what do you believe? ๐
I hope this helps.
Peace out ๐ฝโ๏ธ
Find you, give me hope!!!! thanks for sharing
